Offering from the River, 2022

Paper, pandadiyo dhoop, ghee, teeth, milk, marigold, juniper, gold, rice, sandalwood, cedar.

An exhibition surveying a microcosm of spiritual and scientific ecologies. The work speculated on the permeability of biological and machinic matter through documentation, site-specific performance, laboratory readings and a collection of artifacts. The exhibition was accompanied by an Artist Talk in which Sharples shared their thoughts on human and non-human ecologies, interdisciplinary practice and how ethics underpins collective approaches to making.

Exhibited as part of GLOAM’s 2022–2023 programme and Out & About’s Sustainability Weekender in the Cultural Industries Quarter

(CIQ) & as part of Sheffield Showcase Festival, Sheffield UK.
