Aggregates, 2017

Over the course of the day, about 200 sandbags were filled with sand from the site to build a wall 10ft long. Weighing over three metric tons, the wall was then moved about 30ft across the site, each bag relayed from one end to the other in sucsession.

Aggreates was a ‘Happening’ performed by fifteen participants in Scrooby Top Quarry, Doncaster. Participants included: Alexander Kaniewski, Claire Robyn Booth, Harrison Swaby, Jackson Swaby, Jacob Denness, Joana Cifre Cerda, Kat Hendy, Katie Crabtree, Keelan Swift, Kurpnieks Klāvs, Matthew Jackson, Paul Stewart, Robbie McGann, Stu Burke, and Verity Francoise Martha. Photographers: Tom Rodgers (Pentax ME Super, 35mm film SLR) and Ricky Adams (Canon, 5D SR 24-70mm), Videographer: Rafiqfuad Yarahmadi. UAV pilots: Arron Appleyard and Adrian Appleyard.

Aggregates was exhibited at 2021-Visual Art Centre, Scunthorpe, East Street Arts, Bradford, Bloc Projects, Sheffield and Airspace Gallery, Stoke on Trent between 2017–2018.
